Just Waiting on Him
Editor's Note: Greatness stems from commitment in little things. The level of dedication a man puts into little assignments is most times a reflection of how he'll handle greater opportunities. The preparation for any assignment is as great as the assignment itself. Don't complain, put your back into it. This was exactly what Stephen was doing-being faithful in waiting on tables and dealing with seemingly small matters. Though Stephen was full of Faith and the Holy Spirit, he did not disdain the assignment as it prepared him for the meeting with the Sanhedrin. Acts 6&7. Dear friends, do not despise small beginnings because therein lies the greatness. Ofcourse, I just have to share this article by Greg Laurie of Harvest Ministries. Keeping your focus
Editor's Note: Focus is key to success. It is an indispensable strategy and element if we want to make good any vision that lies in front of us. It is also a necessary ingredient for any Christian to live an effective and impactful life. Distractions come in different packaging, the responsibility is on you to recognise them for what they are and bin them fast. The Holy Spirit our helper is likened to the Dove because one of the attributes of this bird is its singular vision. The dove has two eyes but has a single focus. So we need to see with a single vision just like the holy spirit. Concentrate your energy on the work at hand and disregard the wanton distractions. Nehemiah is such an exemplary figure on how to deal with distractions and remaining focused. Sometimes the distraction is found in the past. Learn how to keep focused with this beautiful, well written article by pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Ministries.

Free From Fear
.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Fear is not a healthy emotion. It is a crippling state of mind that does not allow a person to thrive. Fear denies the sovereignty of God. For a person living in fear, life is more of an ardours existence instead of a purpose driven living. Fear defeats the purpose of creation. On the other hand, it takes courage and faith to truly live. To overcome fear, one must have a full understanding of who calls the shot in our lives; who is in charge! It involves having a godly perspective in any knotty situation. Fearless living is not a denial of a challenge but acknowledging God as Sovereign in our lives. A fearless life takes into cognisance what is real and what is not. It is the godly perspective that matter no matter what. "the lord is the light of my salvation -whom shall I fear" psalm 24:1. Every time you give room for fear in your life, you lose control. God's desire is that we should have dominion over everything including our emotions more so crippling ones like fear. I know what it is to live in fear but every time I turn the object of my fear to God, I realise there was nothing to fear in the first place and therein I have peace. Moreover, faith gets heaven’s attention and I do love attention. Enjoy this brilliant article by Greg Laurie of harvest Ministries.

Crabs in a Pail
EDITOR'S NOTE: I don't know the nutritional benefits in crabs but I do know they taste great in Nigerian Efo Riro (vegetable stew) supported with pounded yam.
Imagine my surprise when I learnt there is a trait in crabs that is also found in humans!! Dear friends, envy is not peculiar to people alone, crabs also display this trait when gathered together!!!. So the next time you eat a bowl of crab soup, think on this.
Kindly read and the rest of this article brilliantly written by Greg Laurie of harvest Ministries.

When to Pray by Greg Laurie
The importance of prayer cannot be over emphasised in the life of a believer. According to a popular saying "a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian". Too many Christians have become play tools for the enemy due to a non-existent, Luke-warm or faithless prayer life. So I am devoting more time to the topic of Prayer-WE ALL NEED A FRESH DOSE OF "FIRE". Enjoy this article by Greg Laurie of Harvest Ministeries
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
—James 5:13
When we find ourselves in trying circumstances, often the temptation is to strike out at the person who helped bring those circumstances upon us. Or, we want to blame someone for our state of affairs. We may even become mad at God for allowing this in our lives. Or, we might wallow in self-pity.
But when we are afflicted, when we are suffering, or when we are in trouble, God tells us what we should do: pray. Why? For one thing, it just may be that God might remove that problem because of our prayers. That is not to say that God always will take our afflictions, suffering, or troubles away. But sometimes He will.
By simply bringing our circumstances before the Lord and acknowledging our need and dependence on Him, we can see God intervene in the situation we are presently facing. Prayer can also give us the grace we need to endure trouble and be brought much closer to God.
James 5:13 tells us, "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray." The word suffering used here also could be translated "in trouble" or "in distress." Is anyone among you in trouble? Are you distressed? Then you should pray.
So when the bottom drops out, when you feel you are just hanging by a thread, when circumstances have become incredibly difficult, or when they have grown worse by the minute, what should you do? You should pray. You should pray when you are afflicted. You should pray when you are sick. You should pray when you are corrupted by sin. And you should pray when specific needs occur. Pray, and don't give up.
